Digital Resource Center announces line up of fall classes & workshops
Creative Flagstaff is pleased to share that the Digital Resource Center (DRC) at the Coconino Center for the Arts has released the lineup of classes and workshops for fall 2022 available to the public.
Fall 2022 roster of workshops and classes include “Your Website” & “Digital Marketing” taught by Dina Barnese. Dina is a certified User Experience Designer and holds a certificate in Digital Marketing. Both workshops will focus on helping non-profits and small businesses. “Your Website” focuses on build a strong website as a foundation and “Digital Marketing” will help participants building a digital marketing strategy. “Does it Podcast” & “Podcast Launch”, taught by Laurel Morales, focus on the art of podcasting, an intimate medium consumed by 37% of Americans. “Podcast Launch” is a six-week intensive where participants will walk away with a constructed podcast episode. “Does it Podcast” provides a lecture and presentation taking participants through the elements of podcasting. Laurel is currently producing her third podcast “2 Lives.” Laurel can be heard on NPR, the Fronteras Desk, Code Switch, Here & Now, Science Friday, Marketplace, National Native News, and the BBC.
A few summer workshops are still open and include “Astrophotography Basics” and “Astrophotography Post-Processing” taught by night-sky artist John Gartin. Participants can register for Digital Resource Center workshops through the Coconino Center for the Arts website, linked here.
The Digital Resource Center celebrated its grand opening in May 2022, after a year in the making, resulting in the renovation of underutilized spaces within the Coconino Center for the Arts. The renovations at Coconino Center for the Arts were made possible through a generous grant from the Thoma Foundation and more than 100 individual donors. With renovations complete, the Digital Resource Center is ready to host classes and workshops for the public benefit. In Spring 2022, the DRC hosted two pilot workshops, open to nonprofit organizations, including “TV to TikTok” and “About Us”. Participants from these inaugural workshops provided feedback and helped shape the roster of workshops and classes now available to the public.
