    Tempe Community Arts

    Tempe Community Arts is seeking to commission a group to perform in six Tempe parks as part of the Arts in the Parks program. Performances could be adaptations of previous work or new work in the form of theater or dance, or a combination of the two practices. The performances will be in an outdoor park setting on a 24’x24’ stage provided by the City. Performances should have built in elements that break the 4th wall and engage with the audience. Artist collectives or performance groups with experience in performing outdoors, creating art for all ages and/or engaging with audiences are encouraged to submit a proposal.

    Budget: Up to $20,000 (includes rehearsal and performance stipends, costume fees and props/set materials)

    The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra is a professional, per-service ensemble with a current annual budget of roughly $550,000. Orchestra members come from a wide region, mostly within the state of Arizona. The FSO currently performs a season of four classical concerts, one pops program, an educational program with Carnegie Link Up, a full production of The Nutcracker, and an annual Fourth of July program.

    Reporting to the Board of Directors through the Executive Committee, the Executive Director is responsible for managing the human and financial resources of the Flagstaff Symphony Association (FSA) in order to achieve the organization’s mission. The Executive Director implements policy as set by the Board and is responsible and accountable for all aspects of the organization. The Executive Director establishes and models a culture of collaboration and communication within the organization, among the staff and orchestra musicians and with our community partners.
