Celebrating the grand opening of the Digital Resource Center

Creative Flagstaff celebrated the grand opening of the Digital Resource Center on Saturday, May 21, 2022

With the ribbon cut, the Digital Resource Center, nearly a year in the making, has officially opened. Kick-started with a generous grant from the Thoma Foundation and over 100 individual donors, the Digital Resource Center offers a lending library of digital equipment and software, training and educational resources, and collaborative space for digital projects.

The Digital Resource Center was made possible by the support of the Thoma Foundation and more than 100 individual donors, listed below.

Construction on the DRC began in January 2021. The renovation reconfigured underutilized service spaces at CCA. In addition to creating appropriate public spaces for maker and educational functions, the reconfigured spaces allow for the addition of a modest kitchenette and a more functional and appealing green room for concert venue talent.

While construction was under way, the first pilot programs began in March 2022. Micro-grants were awarded to local non-profts to attend the workshops ‘From TV to Tik Tok’ and ‘About Us’. Over the course of 10 weeks, these workshops focused on helping local nonprofits learn how to take their stories digital.

As we continue to develop programming for the Digital Resource Center, we’d like to hear from you. Please fill out this survey to share what kind of programming you’d like to see.
