FCP is now Flagstaff Arts Council
Flagstaff Cultural Partners (FCP) awarded $284,550 in Art & Science Fund grants to local, art, science, and culture non-profit organizations.
Flagstaff Cultural Partners is proud to announce an organizational name change to Flagstaff Arts Council. The name change, along with a new logo and website, was announced at the 2014 Viola Awards Gala on March 1, 2014.
“To better serve the Flagstaff arts community, and to more accurately represent our many endeavors, we are bringing our name fully in line with what we do,” said Executive Director John Tannous. “We have been operating as an Arts Council for many years. The name change aligns us with future growth in this direction.
“Our mission will not change; we continue to provide fantastic exhibitions, high-quality concerts, and we will continue our work to promote First Friday Artwalk, administer the Arts and Science grants, and coordinate Summer Nights on the Square.”
The mission of Flagstaff Arts Council is to enhance the spectrum and quality of cultural experiences available to residents of and visitors to our community. The Council’s vision is to inspire excellence through strong partnerships for the arts.
The Flagstaff Arts Council is a 501c3 non-profit organization, independent from governmental agencies. The Council is overseen by an 18-member Board of Directors, and day-to-day operations are led by a Management Team.
