Now Accepting Applications for COVID-19 Art & Science Nonprofit Relief Fund
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to support our nonprofit partners during this challenging time of closures and decreased revenues, Flagstaff Arts Council is accepting applications for the COVID-19 Art & Science Nonprofit Relief Fund.
Grants are anticipated to be between $500 and $1,000 each with current funding available. Additional funding is actively being pursued which may allow funding of grants up to $7,500 each. All eligible nonprofits in the greater Flagstaff area are encouraged to apply. The priority deadline for consideration of funding is Sunday, April 12 at midnight. All applications received by this deadline are guaranteed review and consideration.
Eligibility is based on FY21 General Operating Support guidelines which include organizations that meet the following criteria:
- Are based in the greater Flagstaff area as defined by the Flagstaff Metropolitan Planning Organization. Subsidiaries are eligible if their parent organization is based in Arizona.
- have a primary mission* dedicated to:
- produce, present, teach or serve the arts.
- cultural equity, preservation, or awareness.
- present science programming to the public.
- are incorporated with the IRS as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization or have a formal agreement with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor.
The Nonprofit Relief fund is made possible through generous community donations including a $5,000 contribution from the Flagstaff Rotary Club and unallocated revenues from prior General Operating Support and Program grant cycles.

*Multidisciplinary or multipurpose organizations are eligible if they meet the above requirements and are able to demonstrate that arts, culture, or science comprises at least 50% of the organization’s public programming. The grant award will be based on arts, culture, or science operations and programming.
