$317,500 awarded to 33 Flagstaff Non-profits
Creative Flagstaff is thrilled to announce the 33 Flagstaff non-profits selected for the General Operating Support Grant program this year.
Creative Flagstaff grants support our local creative sector and nonprofit organizations in arts, science, and culture programs that benefit the residents of and visitors to Flagstaff, Arizona. These awards connect creatives, encourage community growth, and foster professional development to reinforce Flagstaff as a creative city in the Southwest.
Creative Flagstaff is contracted by the City of Flagstaff to be the art, science, and culture agency and to administer the Art & Science Fund grant programs. Each year, through the City budgeting process, a portion of the voter-dedicated Art & Science BBB funds are allocated to grant programs. This year, $400,000 was allocated, an increase from 2021. With this announcement, $317,500 of the $400,000 is awarded. The remainder will be used for the Project Grant cycle opening in September and any other special allocations proposed by the Grantmaking Committee.
“Many grants today are looking for projects specific application. Creative Flagstaff’s General Operating Support Grants provide much-needed funding where the creative organizations’ needs are. By doing so, we help these organizations maintain healthy infrastructures, so they can continue to provide quality programming to their audiences.” Stated Jamey Hasapis, Creative Flagstaff Board President, and chair of the grantmaking committee.
